To be sure, many of these Scottish "home" courses are simply not worth your while. Why would you fly thousands of miles to play mediocre golf courses? But some of them, including the 67 listed below, are great fun and come in very handy if:
- You need to fill in a day of your itinerary that isn't scheduled for golf on one of the big, well-known courses.
- You want to get another 9 or 18 holes in during a long, late summer evening after playing a big, well-known course in the morning.
- You are in the area for other (non-golf) reasons and the opportunity presents itself to slip off for a quick round.
